A Study on the twelve earthly branches¡¯ Yin Yang, Five elements, Six Qi, viscera combination, Mutual collision and Mutual combination

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives : Ten heavenly stems(10ô¸ÊÎ) and Twelve earthly branches(12ò¢ò¨) are symbols exposing change order in heaven and earth, and are a very important sign in studying oriental philosophy and oriental medicine. Especially, 10 heavenly stems(10ô¸ÊÎ) and 12 earthly branches(12ò¢ò¨) are indispensable for the study of Five Circuits And Six Qi(¿À¿îÀ°±â), and a deep study is needed.
Methods : I have examined Yin Yang combination(À½¾ç¹èÇÕ), Five elements combination(¿ÀÇà¹èÇÕ), Six Qi 3Yin 3Yang combination(À°±â»ïÀ½»ï¾ç¹èÇÕ), viscera combination(ÀåºÎ¹èÇÕ), Mutual collision(»óÃæ), Six combination(À°ÇÕ), Three combination(»ïÇÕ), etc. of 12 earthly branches(12ÁöÁö) by referring to books such as ¡ºYellow Emperor Internal Classic¡»(?üÜð¨Ò®Ìè?) and ¡ºPrinciple of universe change¡»(?¿ìÁÖº¯ÈÀÇ ¿ø¸®?).
Results & Conclusions : Zi?Yin?Chen?Wu?Shen?Xu(í?ìÙ?òã?çí?ãé?âù) become Yang(åÕ), Chou?Mao?Si?Wei?You?Hai(õä?ÙÖ?ÞÓ?Ú±?ë·?ú¤) become Yin(ëä), Zi?Si?Yin?Mao?Chen?Si(í?õä? ìÙ?ÙÖ?òã?ÞÓ) become Yang, and Wu?Wei?Shen?You?Xu?Hai(çí?Ú±?ãé?ë·?âù?ú¤) become Yin. Twelve earthly branches can be divided into five movements by its original meaning, where YinMao(Àι¦) is tree, SiWu(»ç¿À) is a fire, ShenYou(½ÅÀ¯) is a gold, HaiZi(ÇØÀÚ) is water, and ChenXuChouWei(Áø¼úÃà¹Ì) mediate in the middle of four movements So they become soil(÷Ï). SiHai(ÞÓú¤) is JueYin Wind Tree (±ÈÀ½ dz¸ñ), ZiWu(íçí) is ShaoYin Monarch Fire(¼ÒÀ½ ±ºÈ), ChouWei(õäÚ±) is TaiYin Humid Soil(ÅÂÀ½ ½ÀÅä), YinShen(ìÙãé) is ShaoYang Ministerial Fire(¼Ò¾ç»óÈ), MaoYou(ÙÖë·) is YangMing Dry Gold(¾ç¸í Á¶±Ý), and ChenXu(òãâù) is TaiYang Cold Water(žç ÇѼö). Viscera combination(ÀåºÎ¹èÇÕ) combines Zi(í) and Bile(ÓÅ), Chou(õä) and Liver(ÊÜ), Yin(ìÙ) and Lung(øË), Mao(ÙÖ) and Large intestine(ÓÞíó), Chen(òã) and Stomach(êÖ), Si(ÞÓ) and Spleen(Þ¡), Wu(çí) and Heart(ãý), Wei(Ú±) and Small intestine(á³íó), Shen(ãé) and Bladder(Û¹ÎÍ), You(ë·) and Kidney(ãì), Xu(âù) and Pericardium(ãýøÐ), Hai(ú¤) and Tri-energizer(ß²õ¥), Which means that the function of the viscera and channels is the most active at that time. Twelve earthly branches mutual collisions collide with Zi(í) and Wu(çí), Chou(õä) and Wei(Ú±), Yin(ìÙ) and Shen(ãé), Mao(ÙÖ) and You(ë·), Chen(òã) and Xu(âù), and Si(ÞÓ) and Hai(ú¤). The two colliding earthly branches are on opposite sides, facing each other and restricting each other by the relation of Yin-Yin and Yang-Yang it rejects each other so a collision occurs. Six Correspondences(׿ùê) coincide with Zi(í) and Chou(õä), Yin(ìÙ) and Hai (ú¤), Mao(ÙÖ) and Xu(âù), Chen(òã) and You(ë·) and Si(ÞÓ) and Shen(ãé) Wu(çí) and Wei(Ú±). Three combination(ß²ùê) is composed of ShenZiChen(ãéíòã), SiYouChou(ÞÓë·õä), YinWuXu(ìÙçíâù), and HaiMaoWei(ú¤ÙÖÚ±). Three combination(ß²ùê) is composed of ShenZiChen(ãéíòã), SiYouChou(ÞÓ ë·õä), YinWuXu(ìÙçíâù), and HaiMaoWei(ú¤ÙÖÚ±). This is because the time Six Qi(׿Ѩ) shifts in these three years are the same.
